AhlulBayt News Agency: Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei has strongly condemned Israel’s recent attacks on Syria’s infrastructure, calling them a flagrant violation of international law.
In a Friday statement, Baghaei denounced Israel’s military strikes, describing them as “a clear example of aggression” against Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, aimed at weakening the Muslim country.
He asserted that Israel’s airstrikes in Syria reveal the “dangerous and law-breaking nature” of the Tel Aviv regime.
Baghaei urged the international community to take immediate action to end Israel’s occupation of Syrian territory.
He further accused Israel’s supporters and Western arms suppliers, particularly the United States, of escalating insecurity in the region and violating international peace and security by enabling Israel’s continued attacks on regional countries.
Israeli artillery units struck an area in Syria’s southwestern province of Dara’a, causing “significant material losses”, following claims that two rockets were fired from the area toward the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.
According to Syria’s SANA news agency, Israeli forces targeted the Yarmouk Basin area in western Dara’a with artillery fire late on Tuesday, but provided no further details.
The agency did not report casualties, but described the damage as extensive.
